What to do with files? .serverauth

I have all these files serverauth:
I keep getting more. What are these for? Can I delete some of these?

These files appear to be left over when improperly exiting X.

The startx script should delete the file it created when X is exited normally, if an abnormal exit happens the file will be left over and they will begin to accumulate as you have noticed.

You may delete them.

I usually exit x either through logging out through the K menu or through
shutdown -h now

Sometimes the Desktop crashes when I quit Amarok. Don't know why that is happening.
