what package is stdio.h in?
I've just completed an install of Slackware 8.1, and I can't build anything from source because there are no standard include files. I can't even get an hello.c to compile because stdio.h isn't anywhere on the system.
What package is stdio.h in? Thanks! --- Mike V. |
You need to install disk "l", l as in lost.
Did you install form ISO Image? If so then you need to download the "l" disk set and to pkgtool to install it. |
stdio.h is in the glibc package. This is definately one that you want - even though it is rather large.

The is the second post I've seen about problems with glibc and CD made from ISO... I installed from an "offiical" CD set and I'm not having any of these problems? |
Yes, I did use an ISO image.
Diskset l (as in lost) is on the CD, but I don't remember now if I selected it or not. I don't think I did, as it was described as having something to do with GNOME, and I didn't install X. Thanks! --- Mike V. |

Then put CD in drive and run setup as root, unselect every disk set except "l" and select "install all". If you still have problems you will need to download the "l" set directly from the ftp site. |
