What is the best way to upgrade from 12 to 12.1?

Ive got 12 installed and would like to upgrade to 12.1.
Last time I went from 11 to 12 and it was a nightmare, I had to format the drive.
Is there a way of upgrading without risk of having to format again?
Or should I wait for the next version to come out?

Read the UPGRADE.TXT and the CHANGES_AND_HINTS.TXT files, they tell you how to do it.

You can read the UPGRADE.TXT file which details how to upgrade from the previous version of Slackware, to the current.
