What email client would you recommend?
 

Thunderbird seems 'laggy'. What email client would you recommend (mainly for a gmail account)? I am running KDE by the way.

So, I use Alpine, a terminal email client. But, with KDE you can use the KMail, its a good mail client!

Don't forget to visit the Claws website for the plugins and the documentation. It's very configurable once you know how to do it.

Hmmm, I have been using Thunderbird on Slackware and does not seem laggy, but I am very curious to try out this Claws program!

Claws is excellent. Feature-rich and infinitely configurable. Sylpheed is a very nice alternative. Mutt if you are happy using the terminal and console.

Ok, installed claws and the plugins from sbopkg. Now it gives me an error saying 'Can't connect to IMAP4 server: imap.gmail.com:993' then I select 'close'.

I closed it and opened it again, it now gives me this error: I do the rebuilding but after sometime it just gives me the 'Can't connect to IMAP4 server: imap.gmail.com:993' error again if I select view log this is in the log what am I doing wrong or not doing?
