What does this error mean...

I get this when i run: modprobe sb

/lib/modules/2.4.29/kernel/drivers/sound/sb.o.gz: init_module: No such device
/lib/modules/2.4.29/kernel/drivers/sound/sb.o.gz: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.29/kernel/drivers/sound/sb.o.gz: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.29/kernel/drivers/sound/sb.o.gz failed
/lib/modules/2.4.29/kernel/drivers/sound/sb.o.gz: insmod sb failed

This is from /var/log/messages

Apr 25 17:32:07 67-41-183-61 kernel: sb: dsp reset failed.

Now, here's the thing, I ran that command after the first boot and login and got no error messages, now i'm getting that after the second reboot.

I think my sound is working though, alsaconf returned no errors, (i'm no where near the box right now --ssh'd in) I'm just wondering if someone can dissect these errors for me so i can learn a little. :-)

you could try smth. like : " modprobe sb io=0x0300 irq=10 "
these values are just a guess ; you gotto fill in what applies to your settings.

( or just try, there's 16 possibilities )
