WGET and libssl.so.0

I tried to install openssl 0.9.8a and when I finished instalation I reallized the wget wont work.It complains like this.
wget ftp://ftp.ossp.org/pkg/lib/mm/mm-1.4.0.tar.gz
wget: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

I can see though that the file is there and permisions are good.

Can you help me?
Thanks.
