So the only reason I'm using KDE right now is because it works with Compiz and well, XFCE, I HATE the menu (though I like the desktop) it has and cannot edit the menu without editing a ton of crap so I'm not doing that lol, anyways.... After making a failed attempt to install gnome via a package I cannot edit my compiz, MOST things such as the cube is still running but now if I open the settings manager a bunch of things are disabled and I cannot enable anything, as well as all the icons are now using missing image icons. Any ideas?
to fix the missing icons rebuild the ccsm package. Also I had a problem with compiz-0.8.6 in current. It was because it seems that compiz-0.8.6 won't work with CF 0.8.4 packages. Since 0.8.6 doesn't seem to be a full fledged CF release I just reverted to using 0.8.4 and now all is fixed.
No I'm using 8.2, meh yeah my problem I had fixed on my own but the icons thing, I still haven't gotten that fixed, I think my package made another install and I can't simply do an uninstall, buuut I'm not worried about it enough to care, don't need those icons in my settings manager.
