weird mouse problem

I have a weird and very! annoying mouse problem. While in dropline the mouse curser goes crazy, it moves all over the screen, minimises things, changes windows. It even does this while I am not even touching the mouse. It only does it 5% of the time, however its a big problems as I am finding that it fully disruptes what I am doing. Any help would be great.
Cheers
my specs are;
Mouse: logitech ps2 mouse w wheel
kernel: 2.6.7

holy crap... I have the same problem... and a logitech thumby trackbally thing... on ps/2 although I think it's a problem with X11 6.8.1 because I THINK I had this porblem before I installed dropline.. when I was just using slackware current....
but it is annoying... and I would also say.. much less than %5 of the time.. about once or twice a week..

well last was the last straw. I was working when the mouse went crazy, and opened up 182 file browser windows. I do not know whats broken with gnome/DL 2.8. However I moved to KDE and not 1 problem. Its a shame since I really like DL. Will have to wait to see if it gets better.
