Question Weird behaviour of inputrc bindings

Hello, everyone. Can someone check the behaviour on their machines?

I added the following lines into /etc/inputrc, right at the end:

Code:
"\e\C-f": shell-forward-word
"\e\C-b": shell-backward-word
Now C-M-f words perfectly fine jumping forward. But there are two issues.

1) the shell-backward-word binding only works when used as ESC C-b , and doesn't work when used as C-M-b , as opposed to the shell-forward-word.

2)bind -u shell-backward-word does _not_ unbind the binding.

Can someone check if this is the case on your machines? Is this the correct behaviour?
