hallo
My webcam is Logitech idVendor 0x046d, idProduct 0x08f0.
I do not know what I should do to install it on my Slackware Linux system. My Slackware is 10.2 version and the kernel is 2.4.31. I found this tutorial :
http://dev.openwengo.com/trac/openwe...ki/QcMessenger
which concerns exactly my type of webcam. I downloaded what is necessary, but when I issued the command "patch -p1 < qc-messenger-0.8-fix", it said that there is no such file or directory. And this is true. How shall I carry out the patch command?
Besides the tutorial says that the quickcam module should be compiled with the same version of gcc that compiled the kernel. "most /proc/version" says
Linux version 2.4.31 (root@tree) (gcc version 3.3.5) #8 Sun Jun 5 19:08:07 PDT 2005
I do not have gcc version 3.3.5 installed on my pc and I couldn't find it in
http://slackware.it/en/pb/
What shall I do?
