Yes, as you can see here:
http://connie.slackware.com/~alien/multilib/
Eric has two directories: one for 13.0 and the other one for 13.1

Yeah, I just wish skype would release a 64bit binary already, then I could ditch 32bit.

Now that KDE works I'll move back from current to 13.1 but I will still be multi-lib.

You'd have to change your job

I'd keep my slack pure 64, but I bought SoftMaker Office (which I don't regret - it handles .doc .docx files far better than OO or go-oo and I need it for work).

Incidentally, did anyone else check GSB's progress lately? Their two upcoming simultaneous releases (GNOME 2.28 and 2.30) for 13.1 look amazing. They only replace two Slackware packages this time, and they've dropped Pulseaudio (they're ALSA only now). They're planning to release just a few days after 13.1 comes out, and based on their repository, it looks like they can do it.

Have they been any usability problems with GSB eg. Gnome not being properly integrated with Slackware?

There never have been. Not with GSB, and not with its previous incarnation (which was called Freerock).

Agreed. Of all the Gnome slackware derivatives I would say GSB is the best one out there. I liked it when I ran it.

I run GSB on two machines and I love it. I am current as of about 4 days ago with GSB -current as of about 2 weeks ago on the box I'm currently using. There is a little configuration to do after installing GSB, but this is Slackware and that's to be expected. I've found the GSB site to be very well documented.

To be quite honest, I've found doing a slack install without KDE and going straight into the GSB install actually smooths some of the post-install work out of Slack. Just my two cents.

I'm running GSB 2.28 on 13.1 beta (haven't done the rc1/2 upgrades yet) and everything is working great. I did the GSB upgrade about 2 weeks ago. 2.28 as it exists on my machine uses pulseaudio, which I actually don't have any complaints about. I know others disagree.

Why would one choose 2.28 over 2.30?

I don't actually know, but I would assume it's like choosing KDE 3.5 over KDE 4.0.
