Wacom Intuos graphics table

Hi! I by this device to use unde Slack 14.2 x86-64, so when I plugged in by usb, KDE not recognize this.
I follow a first step: checking xf86-input-wacom and install libwacom, wacomtable without succes.
So I try by xwacomconfig --list device with the same result, than I check by dmsg and lsusb

I see ARK page suggest too setup by stati on Xorg; I try to modify my Xorg.conf.vesa

Quote:

Section "InputDevice"
Driver "wacom"
Identifier "stylus"
Option "Device" "/dev/input0" # or the corresponding event?? for a static setup
Option "Type" "stylus"
Option "USB" "on" # USB ONLY
Option "Mode" "Relative" # other option: "Absolute"
Option "Vendor" "WACOM"
Option "tilt" "on" # add this if your tablet supports tilt
Option "Threshold" "5" # the official linuxwacom howto advises this line
EndSection
Section "InputDevice"
Driver "wacom"
Identifier "eraser"
Option "Device" "/dev/input0" # or the corresponding event?? for a static setup
Option "Type" "eraser"
Option "USB" "on" # USB ONLY
Option "Mode" "Relative" # other option: "Absolute"
Option "Vendor" "WACOM"
Option "tilt" "on" # add this if your tablet supports tilt

EndSection

So not work. Some people suggest to recompile kernel, bat I don't want in order to risk of deadlock of my pc.

How do it to resolve, I don't want to change my distro because Wacom not work.

You are certainly not editing the right file.

Copy /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/70-wacom.conf to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d and make any changes you like in that file or create a new .conf file in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d directory.

As above, I also have the MatchIsTablet section of 90-libinput.conf commented out for some reason, probably to do with getting my intuos 2 tablet to use the wacom dirver rather than libinput. Check your /var/log/Xorg.0.log to see what xorg is doing with your tablet.

I solved recompiling input-wacom (picked on http://https://linuxwacom.github.io/ from source the driver that was too old.
