VMWare Workstation 7.1.1 Not Working After -Current Updates 27-08

I'm running -Current and before i upgrade to the latest -Current updates, my VMWare workstation 7.1.1 is working just fine, but now, it's broken with an error message like this

Quote:
Failed to get value for `/desktop/gnome/interface/accessibility': Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash. See http://projects.gnome.org/gconf/ for information. (Details - 1: Failed to get connection to session: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.)

Logging to /tmp/vmware-root/setup-8281.log
/usr/bin/vmware: line 35: 8281 Segmentation fault "$BINDIR"/vmware-modconfig --appname="VMware Workstation" --icon="vmware-workstation"
I'm suspecting that one of the updates that caused this, but still no luck finding it.

I have tried to upgrade my ORBit2 and GConf2 to the latest one from SBo, but still no luck.

Any idea?

Thanks

this is related to this thread: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...s-zlib-828881/

Upgrading to libxml2-2.7.7 or downgrading to zlib-1.2.3 solved it
