VLC 3 install not working

I have successfully installed VLC3 on a Slackware64 14.2 system. I have another system with a fresh install and I tried following Alien Bob's guide, but ran into issues.
Code:
VLC media player 3.0.0 Vetinari (revision 3.0.0-30-gef4c265336)
[0000000000f7ca10] main libvlc: Running vlc with the default interface. Use 'cvlc' to use vlc without interface.
This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "xcb"
in "".

Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, xcb.

Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Aborted
I built libxkbcommon.
Downloaded and installed qt5-5.7.1-x86_64-1alien.txz and qt5-webkit-5.7.1-x86_64-1alien.txz.

this is what I have in my holding bin for vlc 3.0 so I must have installed these to get 3.0 to work,
Code:
libinput-1.5.4-x86_64-1alien.txz qt5-5.7.1-x86_64-1alien.txz
libwacom-0.22-x86_64-1alien.txz qt5-webkit-5.7.1-x86_64-1alien.txz
libxkbcommon-0.7.1-x86_64-1alien.txz vlc-3.0.0-x86_64-2alien.txz

I miss read the last line.

On Slackware 14.2, two more packages are needed which are already incorporated into slackware-current: libinput and libwacom (the latter one only for 64bit).
After installing libwacom and libinput everything works fine. Thanks.
