Virutal Root Directory

Hello All!

My root hard drive is low on space. I am wondering if I add another hard drive, if I can configure it to be a "virtual root". That means I will use installpkg with the root as the mounted directory of this hard drive, but when I load up X or other programs, it will look in the library and other pertinent directories of both my real root and my new virtual root.

I know I can change PATHs in the profiles, but that is only for executables. X needs many libraries that are not executables.

Any help would be great!

Mords

I suggest to create a /var and a /home partition in the new drive
as a first step, then see if you need more space after that

If you use kde, consider create a /opt partition too
