VirtualBox broken, VirtualBox fixed; kernel 5.4.1
To VirtualBox users:
I hit a hiccup after installing the 5.4.1 kernel and using the generic Linux *.run install of VirtualBox 6.0.14 (it kicks up an error installing the modules). This is solved in the development version VB 6.1 found here https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/ I'm testing still now but VB6.1 works as expected so far. |
Works for me. Excellent job, phalange. Thank you a lot.

It's not a hiccup, it's expected that 6.0.14 cannot compile its modules against Linux 5.4.
6.0.15 has patched module sources, and it's not as poopy as the betas... https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Testbuilds A direct link to the .run file. Don't click this link if you want it, Right click and Save. If clicked, it will try to load as a text file because those .run files are shell script with binary archive grafted on. https://www.virtualbox.org/download/...inux_amd64.run |
Is there a slackbuild for 6.1?
|
No, it's not even officially released, still at RC1
