VirtualBox 64-bit guests

I have installed VirtualBox (5.1.6), using the installer on a
slackware 14.2 64-bit system.
When I tried to create a new virtual machine for a 64-bit guest,
but the dropdown list shows only 32-bit types.
I didn't see 64-bit anywhere.
I thought that on a 64-bit host, there shouldn't be any problem
creating a 64-bit guest.
Am I missing something?

You need to have a few 64-bit switches activated in the Bios to use 64-bit guests.
