virt-manager unable to add connection

In another thread I explained I took different approaches in installing virt-manager in slackware64 14.1.

Both approaches lead to the same errors.

1. Adding a connection
2. creating a VM

#1 results in
Error launching connect dialog: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.Avahi was not provided by any .service files

After stepping through the install options #2 results

Unable to complete install: 'Controller 'devices' is not wanted, but 'cpu' is co-mounted: Invalid argument'in

I have no clue where to start looking.

You need to install avahi and make sure the service is started. Before you build avahi, make sure you do this.
