via82xx no sound
 

My problem is that I don`t have working sound. I`ve run alsaconf. It found my card and installed modules. Then I`ve run alsamixer and unmute everything what I need. But sound still wont work. This is very odd because before did not have any problems with sound, but I had too reinstall slackware and after this it don`t work. I`m using slackware 10.0 with 2.4 kernel and with 2.6.8.1 kernel with sound build into kernel (any modules for sound where build).

Is your speakers switch-on and volume turn up? :)

By the way, after you run alsamixer and unmute and bring the volume up. You need to do . This will store your volume settings.

If not, everytime you reboot, the volumes is going to go back to the original position (muted).
