very slow boot with generic-smp kernel
Hi Everyone,

I am using a toshiba netbook nb200. I just did an upgrade to slackware current last night, which includes new kernel But after i restart, the boot process is very slow, it takes about almost 15mins to get to kdm login ( using generic- kernel). I switched to generic- kernel, everything seems to be fine.

Anyone knows any reasons why it happens and how i can solve the problems out?

Are you watching it boot up? If so, what is taking a long time? Can you disable the rc script for it?
