Question Users can't access soundcard on a PXE Slackware 64 13.0

Hi !
As said in title, alsamixer shows the mixer as root, but users got this message :
alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: no such file or directory

I checked some files and permissions, but all seems ok.

And i don't know where to begin. HAL, UDEV... ?

maybe they should be in the audio group?

Users are authentified via ldap, so i wonder how i can add them to the group.

I'm usin slim as login manager, and there's no rules for it in /etc/pam.d/
If i log in console, i can access to the sound.

i found this, hope it can be useful: you can try with pam_group or by creating dedicated ldap groups.

You can create a "audio" group in LDAP. The member lists of the LDAP group and the local /etc/group will be concatenated.

Did it !
I added an audio group in ldap.
As groups id were different than those on the pxe, i just had to change the gid in /etc/group.

Thanks all.
