ledow, I agree with you on the fact that if there are any passwords on that machine, it's important to change them. davidrsb, I also agree that an IP in Korea will probably be difficult to track.
So I can agree with those who say, "shut it down". But myself, I'd jump on the occasion to have fun, closing it down only if there's illicit activity. But that's me and my intellectual curiosity, and if you do it, you must feel at at ease with the idea. If in doubt, don't.
What I find strange is this attitude of panic. I think, quoting the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, that the first and most important rule is "DON'T PANIC". It's the best way to make mistakes. Switch off the machine, think about it, decide and act. While it's switched off, nothing wrong can happen...
