USB Devices

I'm looking for a good manager for USB devices such as flash drives, cameras, and scanners. I'm running Slackware 9.1 and did a search here about hotplug. Would that be recommended as the best method? I will be removing and inputting USB flash drive most frequently of the devices listed. I'm look for a good alternative to manually mounting and umounting each time in bash.

You could look into Automount, The Mini-HOWTO should get you started.

It is also very easy to make a few small scripts to do the trick. Automount can work nicely but it cannot for example get your photo's of your disk and put it in a directroy with a nice name and date on it....
