I have it. I use linuxant.com drivers with windows drivers. Head over to linuxant.com and download the drivers.

Here's the link, click "I Agree" at the bottom of the page.

You have to 'buy' a registered copy if you want to keep it. You can try out the drivers for 30 days. It works well.

Here are the windowsxp drivers:

USB8023K.SYS
RNDISMPK.SYS
USR5420.inf

I tried ndiswrapper and the usb card is not supported. You can try it again to see if you get different results.

--EDIT--

I'll upload the drivers do you. A link will be up in a second.

It's in .rar format.

here you go, just extract it, and upload it.

Thanks for the post and for the drivers... I appreciate you taking the time to do that... I have the card working with the linuxant driver loader now...

I was just wondering what versions of ndiswrapper you tried and what kernel you used?? I am going to try to get it working over the next month b/c I just can't bring myself to pay $20US for a driver for linux..however if there are no other options I may have to buy it :\

Thanks again

No problem, actually I'm glad to see someone has the 5420 usb model

I tried it out with ndiswrapper ver. 1.1 and kernel 2.6.11.7. If it doesn't work you can also ask the developer(s) to help support that specific model by e-mailing them. If it does work, let me know I haven't payed the $20 yet for the linuxant drivers. I just sign up for the 30 day trial whenever I need it. One of the reasons why I'm still dual-booting with Windows xp is because of that specific reason(I allready payed for the device, and I still need to pay for the drivers?), although Slackware is the prim. one i boot-up to.

I have kernel 2.6.10 (generic from testing on cd2) ... I have tried ndiswrapper 1.1 already... I am going to try the old drivers from the cd and the new ones on the site with 1.1 again.. then I will try the cvs and then work my way back to see if anything changes.. I will probably try these things in the next couple days.. for now we can enjoy our 30 day trials :P
