Upgrading to Slack 12 on a server with no X
Right now I'm upgrading my Slackware 11 server (it doesn't use an X session and none was installed) to Slackware 12 using the UPGRADE.txt file on cd 1. I'm at step 9 using a custom built (by me) kernel 2.6.21.5 where I'm using upgradepkg --install-new /mnt/cdrom/slackware/*/*.tgz. The 2nd cd seems to have all the X applications, KDE, and the T directory. Do I need to install cd 2 on my CLI server?

Hi,
If you are not using 'X' server or client on the machine then I think you have the answer. Some apps may need some of the kde libs, you will need to find out.
