upgrading fluxbox to 0.9.6 doesnt work?
 

I'm running slackware 9.1 and up till now had KDE as my desktop enviroment. Anyway, i wanted to give the latest (stable) version of fluxbox a go which is 0.9.6 I believe. anyway, i got rid of the old version and installed the new one, but when I logout of kde and into fluxbox it still says version 0.1xx on the fluxbox menu.

Has anyone else had this bother? I am to do some configuring somewhere?

By the way, pkgtool identifies fluxbox as 0.9.6 when i do an 'installed packages' scan

You removed flux but not your config files, which presumably include a 'menu' file in ~/.fluxbox? Or maybe the /usr/share files didn't get replaced or something weird. 0.9.6 is sort of the 'stable development' release, if you will. 0.1.14 is the latest stable stable. *g* If it ID's as 0.9.6 and has tabs in the title bars and icons on the toolbar and such, it's 0.9.6.
