[SOLVED] upgraded thunderbird wont display messages as html

Greetings,

Has anyone noticed problems displaying mail with thunderbird 24.5.0 on Slackware 14.1 ?

The package mozilla-thunderbird-24.5.0-*.txz was
released this week. Current and Stable are using the same package, I think. I'm on x86_64.

Now when I open html mail with thunderbird it can only be displayed as text.

Whoops.
Thought I'd checked that.
It did show "plain text". Now it's "original html".
The thunderbird package is ok.
One of the messages I opened was forwarded from another client and did not
have a mime attachment.
