well, is not pixman..... some packages to remove in the new update perhaps?

kodon 03-04-2010 06:31 AM

how did you upgrade?

specialized 03-05-2010 04:41 PM

slackpkg

grissiom 03-05-2010 06:20 PM

It seems that you are using proprietary NV driver, which should be re-installed after ugrading X.

mudherm 03-05-2010 07:53 PM

I tried to reinstall 190.53 after upgrading and the driver installer complained that it could not find the kernel modules in 2.6.33.

I used the command line switch to tell it where they were but no joy.

sycamorex 03-05-2010 08:40 PM

Have you tried
Quote:

insmod /lib/modules/2.6.33/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia.ko
?

specialized 03-06-2010 11:27 AM

my problem is not install nvidia driver, the install works fine. my problem appears when i type startx.......the X doesnt start.
now i downgrade the x/ to slackware13 original and works.

mudherm 03-06-2010 07:24 PM

Itried it but no joy

nvidia.ko doesn't exist there...?

Well, that's assuming that: you've successfully installed the binary driver; you're running that particular kernel.

You can always locate your nvidia.ko

specialized 03-07-2010 07:53 AM

i use initrd, maybe its that......

in one line doesnt find the acpi software, maybe that too

i dont know, by for now, slack13 official release
