"upgrade" prog


do slackware have a upgrade prog like some other distros have?

It's very simple. When you have the new .tgz just use this command:

upgradepkg newfile.tgz

There're also utilities to automatically download and upgrade packages over the internet but I'm not familiar with them.

You can use swaret, slack-get or something else.
