Upgrade causing internet slowdown
Ok so I spoke recently about how I upgraded the slackware current and has a some very minor issues, all my fault, but I'm not sure about this one. I noticed a major internet slowdown and this is not just Firefox or Konqueror. It is really noticeable when I run netstat -r and it will be a few seconds before it shows the router IP number. I put back my old rc.inet1.conf file and made sure I had the right DNS IPs in resolv.conf, but it doesn't seem to be helping. Any ideas?

I don't have a router 'cause I'm stil on dial-up. However, when I upgraded to Slack 10.1, I put the wrong connection speed in. Talk about crawling! So' if there is somewhere that you had to enter your connection, maybe that is what's wrong.

Well I did a system wide search for all *.orig config files and used those to replaced the new ones with those that deal with networking. After a reboot, it seemed to do the trick, not sure what was wrong though.
