Updating slackware-current to latest kernel for lg gram 14z970

Hi,

I have a 14z970 LG gram ultrabook and I have to use slackware-current to properly use most of its features. Following this news

http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...p-Linux-Driver, I am intending to use the latest kernel.

I have experience to compile and test new Linux kernels under Slackware GNU/Linux .

Do yo recommend any new settings, I need to set up for this particular kernels as I am just going to copy the .config of the current 4.14.76 kernel ?

And anything you want me to test?

PS: Slackware GNU/Linux runs perfectly fine under -current and I have had no major issues till now with kde or other software except slackpkg+.

It looks like if you want to try these improvements, you will have to wait. The driver mentioned in the Phoronix article has not been applied to any released kernel tree as of yet. If you can't wait to try now, you will need to do some digging to see if there are any patches for 4.18 or 4.19.

@jheengut
You might want to check the newly released 4.20-rc1, see if the LG Gram drivers are there & compile it and use it (hope it's stable enough):
