Updated 32bit -current July 11th... ...poopy happenings... TTY wierdness
After rebooting to run on 5.4.51-smp,
I'm seeing wlan0 stuff printing over my login prompt (runlevel 3) Code:
IN-internal:IN=wlan0 OUT= MAC=01:00:5e:00:00:01:e4:18:6b:bc:a1:9b:08:00 SRC=192.168.0.1 DST=224.0.0.1 LEN=36 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=1 ID=0 DF PROTO=2 Well, I pinged something and had internet access. Never before have I had internet access while in runlevel 3. I have always had to bring up X11 and let my scripts do it. FWIW, after today's upgrade, I did select "K" to keep my old configs. And as a side note, seamonkey went poof while I was ebaying. Nothing unusual happened during the upgrade process. |
Code:
17:23:36:~$ seamonkey Maybe it's an ebay problem? I have noticed over the past month or so, seamonkey will tell me some script on various websites is too slow (wait) or (cancel) I always wait. |

Not sure about seamonkey, but that's become rather brittle on the compile side over the years and I doubt they've kept up with expected changes in GTK+ coding standards... I'll have to test 32-bit to see if it happens here. |
Thank You, Boss!
Using the new files worked to stop the TTY printing. I gotta watch those config updates. As for seamonkey, it does seem poised to wither away. Such a wide selection of browsers these days, and Mozilla is probably not in the greatest shape lately. Best Regards, Mike |
