Up and Running... so what now?
A friend of my father's was moving... or something. He had a bunch of computer parts laying around he decided he didn't need anymore and graciously donated them to me. After a week or so of digging through boxes of parts, scrounging for power cords, and procuring some used PC cases I now have 4 300 - 500 Mhz machines, networked, running slackware Linux 9.1. They all have a CD rom, floppy, and decent hard drive space.

Anyone have any ideas for a project for all these machines? Other then SETI at home? :-)

Add a semi-decent sound card and an IR port to one, set it in the cabinet with your stereo (with no monitor and keyboard), wire the speakers up and fill the HDD with mp3's. Then get an inverter and mount it in the trunk of your car......

If you're feeling generous, you could give them away to friends who don't use Linux yet :)
