Unable to save conky.conf file... have a peek :)

Unable to save after overwriting conky.conf file as root using copy and paste lazy style method, can't figure out what
"Can't convert codeset to 'ANSI_X3.4-1968" mousepad application says...
Using this other conky format below...

i copy pasted the same config from that link in mousepad and it saved properly, i think you will need to change the locale variable while saving, to UTF-8.

The "can't save codeset" message that was the original problem here requires as "Save As..." action instead of "Save".
This provides an extra option to select a code page that supports whatever character it was bleating about not being able to save. File | Save tries to use current character codeset, where ever that came from and has no choice to change.
Do "save as" and it works.
