I have just installed Slackware 14.0, 32-bit. My desktop environment is KDE.
I have successfully installed Java (JDK 7u7) and Adobe Flash Player plugin 11.2.202.238. I used the scripts provided by SlackBuilds.com.
In theory, when launching Firefox (v. 16.0) and going to www.accuradio.com/, I should be able to play any of the radio channels. In practice, unfortunately, all I can see is the window on the left side that says "Loading...", no matter what radio channel I pick. SeaMonkey and Konqueror also do not work!
My speakers and audio card work just fine. I am able to play music CDs and I can even play Soma FM through the CLI.
Any suggestions about how to solve this problem? (Please refrain from suggesting that I should stay away from sites that use Flash Player etc. etc.!)

Do you happen to have the package npapi-vlc installed?
Well, I still have not had any luck in fixing this problem...
I first installed flash-player-plugin 11.2.202.238 (from SlackBuilds.com). Then I removed it and installed flash-player-plugin 11.2.202.243 (by Eric "Alien" Hameleers) but still no luck.
I know that my audio card is recognized because I can play music CDs, I can listen to music if I use the CLI and go to Soma FM, and also because I hear the music scale when KDE finishes to load.
I am absolutely sure that I have installed the correct flash-player-plugin! (i.e. 32-bit)
My desktop is quite old (approx. twelve years; it has a Pentium III 1100 MHz; 1.5 GB of RAM) but I think that I meet the minimum system requirements. I also have Ubuntu 12.04 LTS installed and I do not have any problem in playing Internet radio channels.
I did a full install of Slackware 14.0 without changing anything.
There must be some setting in Slackware that needs to be tweaked... But what??
