not too sure to tell you the truth but it does sound like a permissions error to me... if I remember right when I installed slackware 10 on my system.. I did a fresh install reather than upgrade from 9.1... I wanted to clean some messes I made by expiramenting with too many libs and apps.. anyways fresh install so I had to resetup users and permissions... If I remember right I was get the exact same error when trying to burn with my user account and found that I left out a a file permissions that I forgot to change I just had to search for which one it was, once I found it and either chmoded or chowned it.. the error was gone sorry I do not remember what bin file it was. hope this helps or gives you an idea. If you need more help then let me know if you are trying to burn in your root account, user account or what. Also if you are user may a list of the files that you modified the permission on.
