unable to configure synaptic touchpad on my thinkpad
copied the same 50-synaptics.conf which I use on 14.0 thinkpad T410s to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d on my thinkpad x121e where I installed 14.1.
but it does not work on the x121e, I can turn the touchpad off with synclient,
but I can not scroll with the red pointstick + middle button
also, acceleration when I press the red stick does not work, on both
does anyone have a useful thinkpad touchpad/synaptic config to share for me?
I do not know what to trial, have this problems with thinkpad touchpad + Slackware since years and I start to feel stupid and becoming frustrated at the moment, so help is appreciated

I am in a bad mood meanwhile
I give a shit about if a system starts via sysVinit, upstart or systemd, but I care a lot the the basic hardware setup, that works which each distro I have used on this hardware, does not work with Slackware,
and I do not talk about some exotic hardware, its about the proper thinkpad touchpad/trackpad configuration.
when after 10 years of using a distro I am not able to have a workable installation within some hours, than it seems to be obvious that I am not the right person for this distro and possible should move on to something more simple, something that simply works
