Trouble with network, Have no information on the onboard LAN

Here I am again, seeking help :-/

Ok, so I built a new computer last night. It works great, thanks But the network just won't show up... I've tried just about everything I could find on the net. So I figure maybe the onboard LAN my motherboard came with isn't set up? Unfortunately the box my motherboard came in does not say what model the network card is, nor does the manual. So without this information it's a bit difficult to set up the network =(

Perhaps one of you already knows what the model is of the LAN on this particular motherboard, or has some information to offer.

Motherboard Model: MSI K7N2 Delta2 Series - MS-6570E

Try modprobe tulip and netconfig

If it fails, post the output with lspci | grep -i net

Sorry for the late response. I went out and bought a LAN card, then opened netconfig and it did the job for me.

Apparently Slackware just doesn't like the onboard LAN

I have two computers with on-board netcards in both,
each works well

The thing is to find your netcard ship with /sbin/lspci,
search for an appopriate kernel module for it, load it
and then run netconfig
