Trendsetting or Foolish Hope

In the interest of spreading my favorite distribution I was wondering if there was an easy (easy breezy) way to mirror Slack Splack(I assume this is still the lastest version of Slack for Sparc) and all of the other nifty little versions on a somewhat kinda sorta dedicated server and a decent upstream connection. Normally I just donate to my favorite projects (because it keeps the lights on) but my financial situation has gone from poor to suck (really really suck) so thats not an option for a while.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this or possibly other nonfinancial ways to contribute to a project?

The best thing would probably be to contact the maintainer (Don't know about splack ) and ask directly. Other non-financial ways to help involve beta-testing, watching release dates for projects, and joining available development mailing lists or IRC channels to stay current with and help fix bugs . Supporting other users and writing documentation is also an area most projects sorely need help in.
