transmission-daemon doesn't download

hi all,

is anyone running transmission-daemon? i'm trying to download some ubuntu torrents and i can successfully do so using transmission-gtk, but transmission-daemon keeps all the torrents idle (0 of 0 peers). it does say every now and then: Scrape error: Could not connect to tracker (announcer.c:1214)

anyone know what's going on here?

It will not help you too much, but for me it works. There are nothing special in my startup script, but here it is:
