tovid on slackware
 

Hi, I just set up tovid on slackware. I installed all the dependencies via slackbuilds and installed tovid.0.31 from source. I ran makemenu/ makexml/makedvd fine with some previously created files. When I tried to encode an avi thus:

tovid -pal -dvd -ffmpeg -in s01e07p1\ Strangers\ in\ space.avi -out abc -noask -quality 7

I got a problem with the video file:

Can anyone spot my problem?

I never used tovid or heard of it.
But my guess is the '-s x576' since it says "Incorrect frame size" in the error message.
But i honestly have no idea.

Try Devede. There is a slackbuild available for it at slackbuilds.org. It works very well:

The dependencies are dvdauthor, vcdimager, and MPlayer (including Mencoder), which are also available at slackbuilds.org.
