Touchpad works in runlevel 3

Hi Guys,

I happen to stumble upon my touchpad working in runelevel 3, I was rebooting the system and thought why dont I press the button and try and sure enough it did. After all this time i've been trying to figure out why it isnt working in X, and I still cant, why is it working in runlevel 3 but not 5? If anyone has any answers, I would really appreciate it, thanks.

You haven't given any specific info about your touchpad, but this may help?
