Too many errors

I have had a really big problem during this install. I was finally able to boot and then i was seeing a lot of errors.

in syslog I am seeing a lot of lines like

Code:
ieee1394: version magic '2.6.17.13-smp SMP mod_unload 686 gcc-3.4' should be 2.6.17.13 mod_unload 486 gcc3.4
There was a message about modules.dep before. It could not find 1.6.17.13 directory so I symlinked it to the -smp directory.

I opened /var/log/messages and I see one "FATAL: Error inserting ipv6.....: Invalid mod$

That module exists so what do I do?

Thanks for any help you can give me

Pete

Are you using the Huge or Test 26 Kernel? Did you install the modules from CD 2?

Yeah I had them installed. I had to play with some things and I am not even sure which thing fixed it but it is working now
