too big icons and menus

Hi,
I've just installed slackware 10.0, i'm using gnome 2.6. Menus and icons are too big to use on my desktop. How can i make them smaller?

You're probably running at a low resolution. Try CTRL-ALT-+ to increase the resolution.

Alternatively, try opening /etc/X11/xorg.conf and changing your default display depth from 24-bit to 16-bit, as it's possible your video driver doesn't support higher resolutions at that depth.
