Tomoyo on Slackware?
To get started playing with Tomoyo on slackware, are any special tools needed? What about SELinux?
If so, why are they not available on the Slackbuilds repository? |

Depending on your skill set and requirements running a GRSecurity-enabled kernel may be a more realistic goal. |
I'm familiar enough with the frameworks, but was asking specifically for slackware. Slackware doesn't seem to have any support for these frameworks, even 3rd party support. No packages, slackbuilds etc.
It's not so much a problem it just seems odd, and wanted to check if there may be any problems I will encounter when testing them on slack. |
Doesn't seem all that odd to me. If there's no interest, then no one will write a slackbuild.
MAC systems generally introduce 2 things that are an anathema to Slackers:
I'm not saying MAC security frameworks don't have their place, but I'm not convinced about their value on a Desktop/Workstation, and lets face it, most people don't even make good use of the basic permissions system they already have. |
