Tomcat server on Slackware64 14.0

Hi,

One of my clients has asked me to install the accounting software OpenSi. According to the documentation, this application needs a Tomcat server, which I've never installed or configured.

Before I do some googling and RTFM and get my hands dirty, I'd like to know if any of you have successfully configured a Tomcat server on Slackware. Any caveats or suggestions?

Cheers,

Niki

I'm using one here at work: not much to say, all went fine using the SBo build script.

Yeah I'm running it on my laptop right now too. The SlackBuild is great... tweak the default memory settings as necessary.

Just run the installer I wrote for OpenSI (attached) and you are all set.

In addition to Tomcat you'll need MySQL.

Installer downloads and sets OpenSI server and client for Firefox and/or xulrunner (I'm an OpenSI user for my company, epsm).

But about the needed versions read this warning first.

PS Beware that the community version is abandonware. I still use it but it's not maintained anymore.
