to mount a cd-rom at boot...

What do I do? Having to mount every time I want to use it is annoying.

There probably is an entry for your cdrom in your /etc/fstab, removing the noauto part should do the trick.

Don't have a clue what will happen if there's no cd in the drive during boot. I know that an 'empty' usb mass storage device will hang your box.

Hope this helps.
