timidity


Could nayone tell me why I am getting this error m essage when I am trying to install timidity it is in the last line of this output

instead of trying to compile goto www.linuxpackages.net and get the slackware package. compiling timidity from source youd still need the gus patches to make it work. the slack package has everything included in the package.

did you read 'config.log' for more details?

strange file " /lib/cpp " .
i mean :
egag@Slack21:~$ grep lib/cpp /var/log/packages/*

returns nothing.
so , where does it come from ?

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 2005-03-06 17:34 /lib/cpp -> /usr/bin/cpp
It's actually /usr/bin/cpp, the symlink must be created by the install script.

edit: forgot to say........try to re-install gcc-3.3.5-i486-1.tgz.
maybe the file is corrupt.
