Timezone Configuration in Slackware

When I installed slackware on my computer it was running on GMT, however since last sunday the UK is now running on BST (British Summer Time) - but my slackware box hasn't realised the change in timezone's.

There must be a way (but I guess i'm pretty stupid) of changing the timezone's so that when the clocks go back or forwards an hour it will display the right time.

I've tried editing /usr/share/zoneinfo/localtime - but for some reason I can't access it, even as root.

Thanks for your help in advance

As su or root "timeconfig". Select UTC inorder to later put in your offset. Do not know about your zone in the UK but mine automatically adjusted for Day Light Savings time.
