Thunderbird problem !


Hi all,

I have two cpus one running on windows 2000 prof and another with Slackware 10.2

I am accessing email from a local network. I have configured Outlook and it is working fine, withe the same settings, Thunderbird or Kamail are not able to work the error message with thunderbird is :

"Sending password did not succeed"

how can it be possible with the same server and the same password ??

any help ??!!

Do you mean that you can check E-mail,but not send?

No I mean that I cannot even check or send... I just cannot connect to the server ...

the server is running on Microsoft Transaction Server 2003..


if you think that something is needed to be done on the server, I can ask the network guy to do it. actually he also has no idea abt it.
